ISLAMABAD, Sept 29: Chief of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F and the board of religious schools on Monday hit back at Afghan President Hamid Karzai for accusing Islamabad of fuelling Taliban resurgence, saying accusations were baseless as no student from Pakistani Madressahs were involved in guerilla attacks in Afghanistan.
Chief of the JUI-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman lashed out at the Afghan president, saying: “Not a single student from our Madressahs has gone to Afghanistan since the fall of Taliban.”
“Karzai has failed to improve the system in Afghanistan and is now all alone. Thus, in a bid to divert world’s attention towards his failure, he is accusing Pakistan and its Madressahs,” he said.
