AMP leader’s arrest flayed

OKARA, Sept 28: Over a 100 tenants of villages 4/4.L and 10/4.L took out protest processions against the arrest of Anjuman Mazareen’s Okara president Ghulam Hasan, who was picked up by police on Thursday evening from Deepalpur Chowk.

According to police, Ghulam Hasan was a court absconder and wanted by police in two cases under sections 341, 382, 452, 354, 337, 148/149 PPC.

HOSPITAL: Defence Minister Rao Skindar Iqbal laid the foundation stone of Kalsoom free hospital in Iqbal Avenue on Saturday.

The hospital is a being funded by the UAE government.

Later, Rao Iqbal administered oath to newly-elected office-bearers of the Okara Press Club and Okara Union of Journalists.

The chief guest granted Rs 500,000 for the Okara Press Club projects. — Correspondent
