KARACHI, Sept 28: The Arts Faculty of Karachi University will hold a six-day national workshop on “Research methods in social sciences” at the arts auditorium from Sept 29.

The workshop is being arranged for the faculty members of arts and the students enrolled in MPhil and PhD programmes.

The workshop, which will begin at 9:30am, will be addressed by Dean of Arts Faculty Prof Dr Abu Zar Wajidi, President POWER Prof Dr Azhar Rizvi, former vice-chancellors of KU including Prof Dr Jameel Jalibi, Prof Dr Manzooruddin Ahmad and Prof Dr Syed Irtifaq Ali, President M.A. Jinnah University Prof Dr Abdul Wahab, vice-chancellor of FG Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology Prof Dr Pirzada Qasim, and Dr Riaz-ul-Islam of general history department.

The vice-chancellor of Karachi University, Prof Dr Zafar Saeed Saify will present the welcome address.

The topic on the first day will be “training needs assessment and overview of social research”.—PPI
