LAHORE: Overruling an objection of the registrar office, the Lahore High Court on Monday admitted for hearing the appeal of Shahid Aziz alias Gullu Butt, convicted for vandalism outside Minhajul Quran Secretariat in Model Town, for suspension of his sentence and grant of bail.

The office had objected to maintainability of the petition, saying the convict had no ground to seek relief of bail at the present stage.

The court heard the petition as “objection case” and overruled the office objection. The court directed the registrar office to fix the petition before any appropriate bench for hearing.
