Six villagers arrested

KHAIRPUR, Sept 27: The Kot Diji police arrested six persons in Din Mohammad Rind village on Friday for creating hindrances in official duty.

A police party went to the village for investigation of a case, where a dispute took place between the police and the villagers.

The police arrested Qamruddin Rind, Rab Dino, Nasrullah, Bakhsh Ali Rind and two others.

However, the villagers said, the police arrested innocent people.

The A-section police have registered a case on the complainant of an investigation inspector of the Kot Diji police for creating hindrances in official duty.

SUSPENDED: An excise inspector and three other excise officials were suspended here on Friday on the complaint of a trader.

A trader of Quetta, Hameed, presently lodged at Central Jail Khairpur, had moved an application to provincial excise secretary, complaining that the excise inspector and his three subordinates had stopped his truck for checking and taken Rs72,000 away.
