DERA MURAD JAMALI: Provincial President of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), Balochistan, Mir Sadiq Ali Umrani, has said that his party will not compromise on the rights of poor and continue its struggle for democracy and rule of law in the country.

Addressing party workers and supporters in Goth Doni Wazir Khan Badozai in Bhaab area of Bolan district on Tuesday, he said that the leadership of PPP, including Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, sacrificed their lives but did not compromise on the rights of the downtrodden.

He strongly criticised the Balochistan government and accused it of completely ignoring eastern Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts where even drinking water was not available.

He said that it was responsibility of the elected representatives of the area to come forward to solve problems of the people who had voted for them in the last election.

Mir Umrani said that whenever PPP would come into power it would electrify more villages in Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts, including Goth Doni Wazir Khan Badozai.

The district president of PPP, Mir Daud Khan Umrani, Mir Hamid Khan Gola, provincial President of Peoples’ Students Federa­tion Shahan Saqib Abro and Nasarullah also spoke.

On the occasion, hundreds of people of the area led by Mir Ali Akbar Bangulzai joined the PPP.

They reposed confidence in the leadership of the party’s co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari.
