Five Sindh players for ITF U-18 tourney

KARACHI, Sept 25: Five players from Sindh will feature in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Under-18 tournament to be played from Sept 29-Dec 5 in Islamabad.

Secretary, Sindh Tennis Association (STA) Khalid Rehmani said on Thursday that four players Adnan Khan, Ali Abdullah, Danish Ahmed and Haris Iltifat would directly appear in main rounds. Asghar Ali Bandeali will play in the qualifying round.

The qualifying round players have been advised to report on Sept 26 at 4pm at the venue while the main round players have been asked to report on Sept 28.

Apart from national players sixteen players from India, five from Thailand, one from Philippines and one from Hong Kong will take part in the tournemnt.

Sindh will also represented by Aqeel Khan, Nomi Qamar and Jalil Khan who were members of the Davis Cup squad.—APP
