PCA names Naushad as chief selector

ISLAMABAD, Sept 24: The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has constituted various committees which will select teams from the region for the forthcoming PCB Inter-district Championship.

Naushad Ali will be the chief selector and will be assisted by other members. The championship is due to start on Sept 29 with Rawalpindi playing Islamabad at the Shalimar Ground.

Committees:

Rawalpindi: Naushad Ali (chairman), Sabih Azhar (local association’s rep), Rizwan Khateeb (local coordinator), Dr. Syed Ahmed Sohail (PCA rep), Raja Sarfraz (manager). Trials at KRL Ground on Sept 26.

Islamabad: Naushad Ali (chairman), Irfan Manzoor (local association’s rep), Dr. Syed Ahmed Sohail (PCA rep), Rizwan Khateeb (local coordinator), Nasir Iqbal (manager). Trials at Shalimar Ground on Sept 26.

Attock: Naushad Ali (chairman), Prof Majid Wahid Bhatti (local association’ rep), Dr. Syed Ahmed Sohail (PCA rep), Rizwan Khateeb (local coordinator).

Meanwhile, the ICA has invited the following 50 probables to attend the trials:
