OKARA: The Hujra Shah Moqeem police arrested five butchers for skinning donkeys and seized 150kg meat from their possession on Monday.

Reports said that Veterinary Officer Dr Imran Khan along with a police team raided a place along Rajbah Rajowal and arrested butchers Iftikhar, Fiqui, Faqir Ali, Aslam and Azam while skinning the donkeys.

The police also recovered 150kg donkey meat and registered a case against the butchers.

SENT TO JAIL: The Kulyana state’s Anjuman-i-Mazareen Punjab president, Malik Saleem Jhakhar, who was arrested the other day, was sent to the Central Jail in Sahiwal on Monday.
