BAHAWALNAGAR: Two men were arrested here on Tuesday for selling poisoned donkey meat, which was also seized.

B Division police received information that suspects Kashif, Ajmal and Latif slaughtered donkeys and prepared their meat at a deserted location behind Haider Stadium. The suspects had been selling the meat in the market for some time.

The suspects confessed to killing donkeys by injecting them with poison and then slaughtering them. Later, they sold the meat and hide in the market.

They said they sold a donkey hide for Rs20,000 to Rs22,000 each.
