TOBA TEK SINGH, Sept 23: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal Secretary-General Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said the alliance will not negotiate with the government any more on the LFO and other contentious issues due to the latter’s non-serious attitude.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday night, he said if the president tried to dissolve parliament, he would have to quit his office.

He said the alliance would not support the Kalabagh dam issue, which had been brought to light by the president to divert the public attention from other national issues.

He criticized the proposal of sending troops to Iraq, saying the religious leaders had unanimously declared it an un-Islamic act.

Later, the Maulana condoled the death of Pir Muhammad Siddiq Ludhianvi with his family.

GUJRANWALA: MMA leader Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani has urged the Muslims to unite at a platform against the aggression of Zionists in Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Speaking at the urs of noted religious leader Maulana Saeed Ahmad Mujaddadi at Model Town, the MMA leader warned that if the US forces continued barbarism in the Muslim countries, people would go for a jehad.

He criticized the government for acting on the US policies, a step which was alarming for the nation. The MMA, he said, would continue its efforts in foiling the US policies against the existence of the religious parties and seminaries.
