Zeenat IV triumph

Karachi, Sept 22: Zeenat IV team comprising of Zeenat Azwer, Tariq Rasheed Khan, Ghufran Ashraf and Shahab Khan won one-day Nazimabad Bridge Club tournament on Sunday.

Ten teams contested the tournament. Zeenat IV starting their march to the top berth beating Candyland 19-11, outlasting Chandana 24-6, overcoming Mehmood IV 22-8 and defeating Best of Ten 19-11 in the last match to end the competition with 80 V.P.

Mehmood IV having the services of Iqbal Abidi, Anwer Kizilbash and Farhat scored 71 V.P winning three matches and losing one. Candyland occupied third berth with a score of 68 accumulated by winning three matches.

Earlier at Karachi Bridge Association Pair Event Hassan Sajjad-Zafar Zaki topped from the Green House.

It was Hassan Sajjad individually a double since he won last week with another partner. Hamid and Zia finished second slightly behind the winning pair.

Sitwat Siddiqui partnering Syed Ameer Hasan won the Red House event. Qasimn Memon and Zahoor Memon and Irfan and Tanveer finished second and third.—PPI
