GUJRANWALA, Sept 22: The office set up here to give national tax number (NTN) to tax payers has started functioning.

This was stated by income tax commissioner Khalid Aziz while talking to the Markazi Anjuman Tajran office-bearers in his office on Monday. The traders called on him in connection with their problems regarding income tax.

He said the office has been set up in the income tax house where NTN certificates would be issued instantly. He assured them that their income tax return would be accepted by the income tax authority as the government has issued necessary directions in this regard, he added.
