FAISALABAD, Sep. 22: Three employees of the Postal Department, including two postmasters, have been suspended from service for negligence in duty.

Postmasters Mohammed Bashir and Fazal Karim and a postman, Afzal, were found involved in hiding thousands of letters, greeting cards, invitations, computerized identity cards and other important mail in a house. A team of the Postal Department found six bags from the house adjacent to the Noorpur post office.

DS Qurban Ali taking note of the reports about non-delivery of mail to the general public suspended the three employees concerned from service and constituted a two-member inquiry committee.

The inquiry committee has been directed to complete its findings at the earliest and fix responsibility so that a legal action could be taken against the employees involved in this practice.
