LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly secretariat on Thursday reviewed arrangements for Senate elections scheduled to be held on March 5.

The provincial assembly serves as the electoral college for electing Punjab’s representatives for the upper house of parliament while its meeting hall is used as polling station for the purpose.

Chaired by Secretary Rai Mumtaz Husain Babar, the meeting also discussed security arrangements for the polling day as well as for the ongoing session of the assembly.

Mr Babar also told the participants about a training programme to be launched shortly for improving their performance.
