Nisar urges West to do more to curb Islamophobia

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has urged the West to do more to curb Islamophobia, a report published on Radio Pakistan said.
Talking to British Home Secretary Theresa May in London, he said democracy and freedom of speech in no way give a license to anybody to humiliate Muslims, distort their religious beliefs or make jest of their religious personalities.
He said success in the war against extremism can only be achieved through global unity and that those spreading Islamophobia are the biggest divisive factor in stopping the international community from coming together.
May said Britain attaches great importance to its relationship with Pakistan, adding that it will do everything to further strengthen these bilateral ties.
Nisar also held a meeting with British National Security Adviser Sir Kim Darroch and discussed matters of bilateral interest.
The minister shared Pakistan's comprehensive strategy to defeat extremism and terrorism and apprised the adviser about the national consensus evolved in shape of the National Action Plan (NAP) and progress it has made so far.
Nisar underscored UK's important role in bringing East and West together in the fight against extremism.
Expressing satisfaction on the upward trajectory of Pakistan-UK relations, both sides agreed to continue the momentum of cooperation in a wide range of areas with special focus on security cooperation.
Commending Pakistan's efforts in the fight against terrorism, Darroch assured continued cooperation from the British side.
He appreciated the resolve of the Pakistani government and people to deal with terrorism in a comprehensive manner.

multiculturalism concept which's been adopted by europe is being hard hitting europe with religious radicalism.. and mishandling the cultural sensitive people.. blowing out of proportions for simple things.. free speech is allowed in west.. where its conservative in east in most of the countries.. and allowing such people makes it complex for multiculturalism concept to be adopted.. and everyone cant become INDIA in case of multi ethnic multi cultural and multi dialect multi religions.. it should come of ages.. to become so..

Ok I ask you to ask the west, is west ready for the freedom of speech on any platform or social web they have created to portray Islamophobia? Lets see what happens when the freedom of speech applied and the accounts of speakers will not be blocked or traced through IP nos to track the individuals who are following freedom of speeches.
The west is scared of how fast and speedy conversions to Islam is going on in west, specially in Europe, its not being published as they control the media, but the actual fact is awsomely in favor of Islam. They have read the history and they know what is going to happen in future, so they are trying to divert the future, which i think they cant help it, they are just trying their lucks !!!!
Why the west always start their campaign related to Islam from Pakistan, there are other muslim countries also in existence? Maybe they are puppets of west, so no need to focus on the issues !

Why is there no Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Jews, Shinto, atheist, phobia Mr. Nisar? How many Christians have met violent deaths from fellow Christians, and so for all the other religions, people from the same faith hardly if ever commit this crime. It is not the fault of religion at all. Before the advent of religion about 4000 years back, people did take the lives of fellow human beings, under some pretext or reason. It is about power, and religion is used by those with very wrong intentions, those with good intentions are not doing enough to stop this from happening, for many reasons. This has been well elucidated by columnist Babar Sattar, Pervez Hoodbhoy, Irfan Hussain, and many Dawn writers.

At different points, Allah (swt) has sent His prophets to us, to recognize above all Allah (swt) and to respect next to us, the same as to ourselves. Because of selfishness/misunderstanding of religion drive to corruption over the time, by insulting other religion means I am insulting the whole of it whereas there are more or less truth in every religion. Yet there were since ever three groups among us 1- believers, 2-disbelievers, and the hypocrites, in between three still there are percentage 1% to higher% however.

I think the British are doing their best to curb not just Islamophobia but other 'phobias' as well - maybe its time Pakistani politicians should stop pointing fingers at others assumed problems and dealt with issues that concern their own country - Pakistan, the first of which is the growth of unchecked extremism

@lafanga Muslims are forbidden to do a lot of bad things, but that doesn't mean they will obey the teachings. Some obviously interpret these teachings very differently from others.
What are you going to do about correcting the various interpretations? It is YOUR responsibility to correct misinterpretations, so stop shirking your responsibility!

I think at this point we all know that it not just the west, the east also has to take initiative but most of all the global media outlets must truthfully participate in this war against hate, indifference and inequality. Humanity will not gain many chances to unite once division has taken place. This is the right time to come together and take a stand for humanity; for individualism; for freedom ; and for the Holy and sacred.
