OKARA, Sept 21: ‘United’ PML president Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has said that “we will not contact the ‘Jeddah leadership’ directly for asking it to join the PML. We will invite the local PML-N leadership and it is up to the latter to contact Jeddah or not”.

This was stated by Mr Husain at a luncheon hosted in his honour by defence minister Rao Sikander Iqbal at a local cotton factory. Federal health minister Muhammad Naseer Khan, MNA Ijazul Haq, Sindh PML-Q leader Maqbool Sheikh, provincial housing minister Syed Raza Ali Gilani, district Nazim Syed Sajjad Haider and MNA Syed Gulzar Sibtain were also present on the occasion.

Chaudhry Shujaat further said that the MMA must talk about dialogue and not about agitation or public debate. He was intercepted by Mr Ijaz, who said that “we will start a debate with the MMA on a public forum”.

Addressing the public meeting, MNA Ijazul Haq said that joblessness and lawlessness were the main issues, but a few leaders were not talking about them and were pursuing their personal interests only.
