LAHORE, Sept 19: The Track-II diplomacy between Pakistan and India would not affect liberation movement in held Kashmir, claimed Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat.
Talking to journalists at a local hotel on Friday, he said the US-India-Israel nexus was labelling the liberation movement as terrorism. The trio was ignoring the difference between terrorism and liberation for vested interests.
He said Pakistan could not survive without Kashmir. Bilateral talks, he said, would not solve the Kashmir issue, but its people should be involved in negotiations.
About split in Hurriat Conference, the AJK PM claimed it was handy work of India, but predicted that everything would be normal soon.
“The Kashmiris have ideological bond with Pakistan, and for this reason they have been fighting a war for joining it. Had it been a war for territory or resources, the Kashmiris could have accepted the Indian rule,” he said.
