Dhaka-Agartala bus service launched

DHAKA, Sept 19: The Dhaka-Agartala bus service was opened on Friday, with the hope of increasing people to people contracts and fostering co-operation between Bangladesh and India.

Bangladesh’s Communication Minister Barrister Nazmul Huda and visiting Indian Minister for Road Transport and Highways Maj. Gen. (retd) B.C Khanduri inaugurated the service here.

Later the two colourfully decorated buses of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation carrying the communications’ ministers of the two countries and representative of professional bodies left for Agartala.
