PESHAWAR, Sept 18: Senior police officials have been shuffled by the NWFP government.

According to a notification issued by the NWFP government here on Thursday, DIG Kohat Ghulam Mohammad Khan has replaced DIG Bannu Amir Hamza Mehsud, who has been transferred to Peshawar.

DIG investigations Abdul Majeed Khan has been transferred to Hangu as the commandant of the Police Training Centre in place of Sultan Hanif Orakzai, who will now perform his duties in Kohat.

SP Mardan Liaqat Ali Khan has replaced Salahuddin as AIG Crime Investigation Department, Peshawar, whereas Mr Salahuddin has been made DPO Swat.

Faiz Mohammad Khan, PS to the IGP has been transferred to Kohat as SP investigations, whereas SP security Peshawar Zaibullah Khan has been made DPO Lower Dir.

OSD Inam Ghani has been posted as SSP operations to Peshawar in place of Khalid Habib Khan, who has been asked to report to the establishment division in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, Collector Customs Liaqat Ali Agha, who took his charge a week ago, issued transfer and posting orders here on Thursday.

According to sources, Aftab Haider, AC anti-smuggling Peshawar has replaced Abu Nasr Shuja as AC Peshawar dry port, whereas Mr Shuja has been made AC Peshawar airport.

Ms Jameela, AC Peshawar airport, is now AC Law.

Hamayun Bhatti, AC recoveries of anti-smuggling Peshawar has been transferred and posted as AC Torkham in the Khyber Agency.
