Facebook services were restored on Tuesday after what appeared to be a brief outage.

Earlier, the social media site had said it is working on fixing the issue, several users had said.

“Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can,” Facebook had said on its website.

Users from the United States and India had reported that they were unable to log on to the website.

The social media giant's Instagram service was also inaccessible
