HARIPUR, Sept 17: Four members of a family were killed when their car collided with a passenger bus near village Darra Khanpur, some 13 kilometres here on Tuesday evening.

Police said the family members of a union councillor Mir Haider of village Khoe Marra were on their way to Khanpur. When it reached near village Darra, it met a head-on collision with a speedy passenger bus No C-1227 coming from Taxila killing four of a family including three women on the spot. Two children miraculously escaped unhurt.

Those killed were identified as Shamraiz son of Mohammad Amraiz, Ms Hussan Jan wife of Mir Haider, Ms Nasreen wife of Pervaiz, Ms Parveen wife of Muhammad Iqbal.

SUICIDE:A young man committed suicide in village Chitti Dhaki, some 21km from here over an unknown reason. Family sources told the police that Asim, 22 son of Sanobardin killed himself by shooting in the chest with 12-bore rifle. Asim, according to family sources, was jobless and had been looking quite frustrated over economically problematic life.
