KARACHI: Admission list

KARACHI, Sept 17: The city government’s Centralized Admission Committee on Wednesday issued list of 13,429 male students placed for admission to first-year (Commerce) classes at 42 colleges and two higher secondary schools in the city.

A spokesman for the committee said that the left-over applicants of pre-engineering group had been accommodated in Commerce faculty. In comparison to last year, 956 more students have been placed for admission this year.

The merit marks for admission were recorded higher this year in the case of Government College for Commerce and Economics, National College, Premier College, Gulshan-i-Iqbal College, St. Patrick’s College, Islamia Arts and Commerce College, S. M. Arts and Commerce College, Jinnah College and Shipowners College.

In all, 126 A-1 graders, 801 A-graders, 2,585 B-graders, 4,987 C-graders and 4,930 D-graders have been placed for admission.
