RIYADH, Sept 16: No Pakistani was killed or injured in the fire that engulfed Al-Haer prison outside Riyadh on Monday.

According to a Pakistani diplomat who visited the jail on Tuesday said no one from Pakistan was reported killed or injured. It is still not known how many Pakistanis were in the prison.

Saudi press has reported that most of the inmates killed in the fire were youth under the age of 30 of various nationalities.

There were contradictory claims about the number of casualties in the fire.
