ISLAMABAD, Sept 16: Preparations for the restoration of train service with India are complete from the Pakistani side but there is no intimation from the Indian side to begin a dialogue in this regard, a railways official has said.

Railways General Manager Aurangzeb Khan told the VOA that India had unilaterally halted any action about the Samjhota Express.

In the latest talks about re-establishing air links, Pakistan had raised the point that no country should have the authority to break such links unilaterally.

Mr Khan said the same issue would be raised when talks about Samjhota Express would start.

However, he said that this was not an obstacle in the way of talks. He said everything was ready in Pakistan in this regard.—APP
