Following the announcement of parenthood in October, actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcomed their first child, just a few days before the New Year, reported Us Weekly.

The Gossip Girl star gave birth to the baby near the couple’s home in Bedford, New York and although the child arrived earlier than expected, both mother and baby are doing well.

According to a source, "The baby came early but everyone is happy and healthy. The Bedford house is all prepared. They're going to stay up there for the baby's first days."

The 27-year-old actor had announced about motherhood on her website, the Preserve in a letter titled, "Celebrations: Falling for Family".

Blake Lively married Ryan Reynolds, who was previously married to Scarlett Johansson in 2012. She is also a celebrated entrepreneur and home-maker.
