Tax officials transfer ordered

ISLAMABAD, Sept 14: Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) Justice Saleem Akhtar (retired) has asked the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) to transfer tax officials who blackmailed people.

The decision was taken on the complaint of Jaranwala-based shopkeeper, who complain-ed against the income tax officials.

The ombudsman directed the CBR to immediately transfer the three supervisors, Tahir Siddique Bhatti, Pervaiz Akhtar and Mohammad Aamir Saeed, for a minimum period of three years.

He also said Siddique Bhatti be kept under observation for a period of one and half year.
