KARACHI: Abdul Rehman’s strike two minutes from half-time helped Pakistan Navy beat Baloch FC Noushki 1-0 in the final and claim the second-division Pakistan Football Federation League (PFFL) title here on Saturday.

With both teams having already secured promotion to next year’s Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL), departmental-leg winners Navy and club-leg winners Baloch FC played attacking football at the Dr. Mohammad Ali Shah Stadium.

Rehman netted from close range to give Navy the lead and although Baloch FC came close to scoring in the final moments they could not find the leveller.

Although he couldn’t inspire his side to the title, Baloch FC’s Sher Dil was named the player of the tournament.

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) attacker Saadullah was given the top-scorer award with Navy’s Shehroze being named best goalkeeper.
