LAHORE: A local commission made to inspect the election record in NA-122 on Wednesday held a scrutiny of the ballots cast at 12 polling stations of the National Assembly constituency.

The commission comprising retired sessions judge Ghulam Hussain Awan held inspection in the presence of representatives of PTI chief Imran Khan and NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.

The returning officer of NA-122 and other officials assisted the commission in the process held at Nadir Hall of the DCO office. The constituency had a total of 284 polling stations.

An election tribunal had ordered the inspection of the record on an application of Imran Khan who alleged that the victory of Sadiq was a result of rigging.
