TIMERGARA: Two children were killed and two were injured in Shagai Sangato area of Maidan when the roof of a room of their house caved in on Thursday night.

The incident took place when the family was having their meal.

The people said Sabira and Waleed (both 8) died of critical injuries on the sport, while Nazira (10) and Iqrar (19) suffered injuries.

The injured were taken to the Lal Qila Hospital, where their condition is stated to be out of danger.

ANTI-CORRUPTION RALLY: The Anti-Corruption and Anti-Narcotics Association, Lower Dir on Friday took out a rally against ‘rampant’ corruption in government departments.

Provincial coordinator of the association Azimullah led the rally in which social and political activists and government officials were in attendance.

Azimullah told participants that the government was committed to ending corruption and drug abuse.

He said corruption had been destroying the very foundation of the state and its institutions.

Azimullah demanded that the government take concrete steps to overcome corruption and narcotics’ business.

SPORTS EVENT ENDS: The sports competition among the government primary schools ended here on Friday.

District education officer (female) Zaibun Nisa distributed trophies and prizes were distributed to winning teams during a special ceremony at the Government Centennial Model High School.
