HYDERABAD: Expressing grave concerns over the ‘torture and harassment’ of JSQM-A activists in the jails of Hyderabad, Sukkur and Karachi, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM-A) chairman of his own faction Abdul Wahid Arisar warned of protest.

If the jail authorities did not mend their ways forthwith and the nationalist activists and prisoners were not provided facilities according to the jail manual, they would launch a massive protest campaign, including demonstrations, sit-ins and hunger strike, across Sindh, he added.

Speaking at a press conference held at the JSQM-A office located in Qasimabad, Hyderabad, Mr Arisar demanded that Sindh IG Prison Nusrat Magan and superintendents of jails end “inhuman treatment and rude attitude” towards nationalist activists imprisoned in the central jails of Hyderabad, Karachi and Sukkur.
