ISLAMABAD, Sept 8: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Monday said his meeting with US President George W. Bush was not yet confirmed.

Talking to newsmen after inaugurating the 8th international symposium on advanced materials at the National Library auditorium, the prime minister, in reply to a question that what expectations he had from the meeting, he said: “Let it be confirmed first.”

Asked about the expected outcome of his US visit, Mr Jamali said that many things had to be discussed before the visit. “All the discussions will focus on achieving something good for the country as he has no personal agenda.”

According to official news agency, the prime minister also said that he would take the opposition parties into confidence before US visit.

Media reports, quoting White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan have said that Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali would meet President George Bush at the White House on Oct 1, a few days after an expected meeting between President Gen Pervez Musharraf and Mr Bush.

When contacted the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Rai Riaz Ahmad said that he was in no position to comment whether the meeting between Jamali and Bush was confirmed or not as it pertained to foreign office.
