PESHAWAR, Sept 6: Additional District and Sessions Judge Shehbar Khan on Saturday granted bail to suspect Faisal Ali Baloch arrested in a triple murder case of Gulbahar Colony.

The court directed that the accused-applicant should be released after furnishing two sureties of Rs 100,000 each.

The applicant claimed that there was not a single evidence against him and the police had arrested him to ease the pressure on them.

The deceased Samir Zia alias Sunni, his friend Imran and watchman Jhangraiz, were killed on July 24 at the residence of Sunni. Police remained clueless about the murder and had to face criticism.

Ziauddin, father of Sunni, is complainant in the case. The initial report was registered by Asif Pervaiz, a friend of Ziauddin.

Advocates Asadullah Chamkani and Noor Alam Khan appeared for the applicant and argued that the police had charged Faisal on the basis of rumours and hearsay and there was no motive to attach Faisal with the offence.

They added that the police had put forwarded various theories to resolve the mystery behind the triple murder, but all the theories were in conflict with the record of the case.

The prosecution told the court that they had no objection if he was released on bail. It was added that the police had arrested the real culprits following which there was no need of keeping the applicant in prison.
