KHUZDAR: Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a collision between a truck and a bus in Hub area of Lasbela district on Saturday.

Police said a light truck carrying a marriage party was going from Khuzdar to Karachi when it collided with a bus coming from the opposite direction.

“Five people, including a woman, lost their lives and 10 others, among them three woman, suffered injuries in the accident,” said a police official from Hub, adding that the accident occurred in Bhawani area.

Rescuers took the dead and the injured to Civil Hospital, Hub, from where some were shifted to Karachi because of their precarious condition.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Razzaque, Bibi Gul, Nisar Ahmed, Abdul Wahab and Mohammad Usman. Hub police were looking into the matter.
