KARACHI, Sept 5: Rising incidents of robberies in Ferozabad police limits perturb the residents and visitors of one of the busiest commercial hub of Tariq Road.
The robbery victims complained that the Ferozabad police did not cooperate with them in registering cases against the robberies.
Zakaria Yahya, owner of a shop on Tariq Road, complained that some armed men entered his shop and purchased a calling card of Rs1,000 denomination. Later, they held Zakaria at gunpoint and decamped with calling cards worth Rs150,000.
He called Madadgar 15 immediately but no one turned up at his shop. He went to get an FIR registered at the Ferozabad Police Station, where the SHO and other officials told him that registering an FIR would damage the reputation of the police station. Zakaria used influence and later an FIR was registered after a lapse of three days.
People demanded removal of Ferozabad SHO and demanded of the authorities concerned to take appropriate measures to curb the rising incidents of looting and snatching at gunpoint.
