MOSUL, Sept 5: US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld got a bird’s eye view from a helicopter on Friday of the site where Saddam Hussein’s sons were killed in northern Iraq.

On a visit to troops from the US 101st Airborne Division in the northern city of Mosul, Mr Rumsfeld was given an aerial tour which included the house where Uday and Qusay Hussein were cornered and killed by US soldiers in July.

Mr Rumsfeld also met troops in Saddam’s hometown of Tikrit before heading to Mosul.
