Edhi robbed

Published October 21, 2014

ABDUL Sattar Edhi, a great social worker and philanthropist, is a most respected and sincere person of Pakistan. The robbery at his office the other day was shocking as the robbers looted Rs200m in cash and five kilos of gold bars worth Rs280m.

The working of the police must be improved. If this time the police fail to arrest dacoits, it will be a great insult to Pakistan.

THE city by the sea, Karachi, has been taken over by gangs of criminals who steal from its people and kill them without any compunction.

I will not be surprised if one day a man as noble as Edhi is shot at for the sake of a mobile phone or a few hundred rupees. The shooter might not even know who he is targeting.

Mr Edhi, I speak on behalf of millions when I say this, may God bless you and we are sorry for the ordeal you suffered. I know there are countless Pakistanis in the country and abroad who are ready to come together to compensate you for your loss.
