ISLAMABAD, Sept 4: Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) officials said on Thursday their new Director General was likely to take charge sometimes next week.

Brig Arif Siddiqui, the head of the Army Sports Directorate, was appointed as the chief of the PSB by Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali in August. He replaces Brig Saulat Abbas, who had resigned earlier citing personal commitments.

“A notification regarding Brig Arif’s appointment has been dispatched by the Establishment Division to the Army and he should be in office by next week,” a senior official of the PSB told Dawn.
