SHIKARPUR, Sept 4: Four people, including a Hesco employee, were electrocuted and four others seriously injured when a 132,000KV line fell in the Mohammad Khan Pahore village on Thursday.

Those died include Ashraf, son of Iqbal Ahmed Nasirani; Abdul Qadir, son of Mohammad Yousuf Nasirani; Qalandar Bukhsh, son of Sono Memon; and Hesco employee Nek Mohammad, son of Dhani Bukhsh Chachar.

The injured — Nooruddin Nasirani, Rajab Ali Nasirani and Imtiaz Nasirani — were shifted to the civil hospital here.

Our Sukkur correspondent adds: The incident took place when the Hesco staff under the supervision of SDO Ahmed Ali was laying a power line in the village.

Accidentally a wire touched the 132,000KV line which was passing over another line connecting Guddu with Shikarpur.
