IN a faraway land, close to the deep dark woods, there lived a young and beautiful princess called Rose Ella. She was very curious about exploring the woodlands around her castle because she had not been there for more than a year.

Her parents, the king and queen, would not let her visit the woods because a year ago they had heard that a wolf had escaped from the zoo into the deep dark woods.

Finally, it was heard that the wolf had been caught and the king quickly called the zookeeper to enquire about it.

“Yes, your highness. The runaway wolf has been found and caught. It is now locked safely in our zoo,” said the zookeeper.

The first thing the king did was to tell his daughter that she could now go to the woods. It made her so happy and excited that she at once decided to go there but her father stopped her and asked her to take a few guards with her.

When Rose Ella reached the woods, the first thing she saw at the entrance was a dragon ... but she did not get scared because the dragon looked injured and it was a baby dragon. Without thinking further she picked up the dragon and brought it home!

At home, her family and everyone else got extremely scared and told Rose Ella to let the dragon go but she would not. Instead, she said that it was a baby dragon and it was injured, and she convinced them to let her keep it in their large garden so that she could tame it.

After thinking about it, the king and queen finally agreed. So Rose Ella took good care of it. She taught the dragon to be kind and it lived happily in her garden. People from far and wide would come to see her dragon and it would play with them without harming them.
