PESHAWAR: A teacher was killed and two children injured on Wednesday when a hand-grenade attack took place on a school in the Shabqadar area of Peshawar.
Sources said the school had received letters a month earlier which threatened the administration to direct students to wear shalwar kameez instead of pants and shirts.
According to police sources, unidentified miscreants threw a hand-grenade on Askari Public School and College in Shabaqadar area.
The explosion resulted in the death of school teacher Madam Honey and injured two children.
Sources said that miscreants fled the scene after launching the attack and a search operation was under way.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Chief Minister Pervez Khattak have condemned the attack and sympathised with the families of those targeted.
Earlier, the PTI government had also decided in principle to remove ‘objectionable material’ from the textbooks of local primary schools to please the key partner of the ruling coalition, Jamaat-i-Islami.

I have no hope from anyone, including PTI's Nata Pakistan, in which such things will happen when PTI is weak to speak up and pleasing another coalition party by making, 'objectionable' changes in primary school syllabus. I was not expecting such an stone age action from PTI, now where should I look for Pakistan's future?

Andrew carnegie later in his life said.."i have stopped believing what people speak but i watch what they actually do"...pti should publish their defination of naya pakistan out in public...what is naya that they want to bring...in this age of internet and globalisation where information is at the tip of your finger do they actually think that by removing few contents from textbooks will stop people from knowing what other people in world do or how they live their life...the only thing it will achieve is cultural shock this children will feel when they grows up and move out in world.

It is a very sad incident and May Allah bless the departed soul. I fail to under stand as to what the killers want to achieve by killing innocent women and children. The perpetrators need to be dealt with iron hands.

Despite the fact that I blame PTI for not doing enough in KPK, I will still support him. The only reason is that all other parties are corrupt from top to bottom. While this party has at least an honest and brave leader. Imagine IK as a prime minster speaking for pakistanis and their rights in USA for a moment. Now change him with the other available kachra options (NS and AZ) and ask yourself who is better. IK is by far the best of them.

Islam I$ a beautiful religon & no ware in islamic law they can justify this. I call for improvement in both govt education system & also madrassa education system. One should not feal that these r 2 different things & they belong to different camps.

In UK all children attend school & after school they do hifz & alim courses till 10th class & after that they have choice to dedidicate themselves to one field. So no body feels I m different. Will that help in pakistan?
