HYDERABAD, Sept 2: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences has changed admission test venue from the Petaro Cadet College to the Hyderabad Public School keeping in view the expected inconvenience to candidates.
According to LUMHS administration officer Fateh Mohammad Abbasi, the decision was taken on Tuesday as the university had also taken up the matter with the Bahriya Institute of Management and Computer Sciences that had to conduct the test. The other venues for the test would remain unchanged.
The candidates have been demanding shifting of the centre as it would be difficult for them to appear in the test at the Petaro college at 9am. Previously, LUMHS admission tests were always held at the Hyderabad school.
The last date for submitting forms for the admission test expired on Aug 31. More than 3,300 forms were submitted.
The LUMHS has so far not issued admit cards to students for the assessment test, scheduled for Sept 14.
It was learnt that the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education had not sent mark sheets of the pre-medical group to colleges, creating problems for students as they had to furnish original mark sheets with their admission test forms.
However, BISE chairman Sultan Abbas told this correspondent by telephone that mark sheets had been dispatched to all colleges.
He said the problem was being faced by students who wanted to collect additional marks sheets from the BISE.
He said half of the pre-engineering group mark sheets had been sent and the rest were being delivered.
