RAWALPINDI: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has launched a crackdown against consumers who have not paid their water bills for years.

Special teams have been set up which are conducting raids along with a special magistrate and the police.

The teams confiscated five motors from different hotels and service stations and issued notices to to 25 defaulters.

The agency has asked the defaulters to pay their bills without any further delay.

It said the defaulters who would approach Wasa would get concessions such as payment of the dues in installments.

On the other hand, defaulters caught by the teams would have to pay the dues along with the fines.
