Ministers to review NA proceedings

ISLAMABAD, Sept 1: The government has formed a six-member ministerial committee to review the parliamentary activities and assembly proceedings on a day-to-day basis.

This was stated by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed while talking to reporters at his chamber in the Parliament House here on Monday.

He said the committee comprised Water and Power Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Labour Minister Abdus Sattar Laleka, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Raza Hayat Hiraj, Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Minister for Housing Safwanullah and Minister for Food and Agriculture Yar Mohammad Rind.

The first meeting of the committee was held in the afternoon to chalk out the strategy to counter the opposition’s protest against the LFO, he said.
