Three drown in Kotli

MUZAFFARABAD, Sept 1: Two women and a girl drowned on Monday in Ban nullah in Kotli district while washing clothes.

According to police, nine-year-old Zubaida, daughter of Mohammad Iqbal, drowned in the deep water and Salma, 18, wife of Mohammad Munir, and Parveen, 19, wife of Mohammad Sharif, drowned while trying to rescue her.

The victims were said to be nomads residing in tents along the nullah. They had come from Faisalabad.
