KARACHI, Sept 1: Seven ships carrying containers, steel coils and to load naphtha and chrome ore are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Iwato, Astor to unload and load containers, Strelets to offload sugar for Afghanistan and Oriental Jasmin to offload chemicals.

Five ships, Kota Tegap, Lamphun Navee, Mar Challenger, Byzantio and Asean Glory departed, while Monte Rosa, Astor, Love Letter, Sargodha, Oriental Jasmin, Iwato and Min He are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was slow where a total tonnage of 33,531 tons comprising 20,764 tons of export cargo and 12,767 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Energy Century,

to load naphtha, Westerland, Kota Wangsa, Al-Ihsaa, Eax Sanctity, with containers, Sunset-K to load 5,000 tons of chrome ore, and Flame, with steel coils.
