Imdad lifts Sindh Open Golf trophy

KARACHI, Aug 31: Imdad Hussain gave a brilliant display of golf to finish 17-under par and clinch the 5th Sindh Open Golf Championship at the Arabian Sea Country Club on Sunday says a press release.

Imdad of Garrison Gymkhana Club, Lahore played superb golf with birdies to card 6-under par on the final day.

He was followed by Shakeel Rehmati of Quetta who came in second at 10 under par. Shakeel scored one over par.

Shabbir Iqbal, last week’s CNS winner played 2 under par to finish at third place at 8 under par.

Imdad came close to breaking his own record of 19 under par which he made at Peshawar at the Chief of Air Staff Championship (CAS).

In the amateurs category played over 72 holes, Waseem Rana emerged as the winner. Runner up was Hamza Ansari. The net winner was Omair Javed and Samsam Qadir was runner up.

The 36 holes amateur category event was won by Baber Khokhar with Ansar Mahmmod as runner up.

Amateur 72 Holes: Winner Net: Omair Javed, runners-up Net Samsam Qadir

Winner Gross: Waseem Rana, runners-up Hamza Ansari.

Amateurs 36 holes: Winner net: Ejaz Ahed, runners-up M Safdar

Winner Gross: Baber Khokhar, runners-up Ansar Mahmood.

Seniors: Winner Net: Asghar Ali, runners-up Iqbal Khan.

Winner Gross: Ghulam Ali, runners-up Sohail Siddiqui

Veterans: Winner Net: Iqbal Alam, runners-up M A Ansar.

Winner Gross: Azim Khan, runners-up Kamal Mehmood.
