1,500 policemen to guard NSK during National T20 Cup

KARACHI: Around 1,500 security personnel will be on duty to guard the National Stadium when the National Twenty20 Cup explodes into action on Wednesday.

“Foolproof security will be in place for this prestigious event,” Karachi commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui said at a joint news conference at the National Stadium on Tuesday.

KMC Administrator Rauf Akhtar Faruqi, Salahuddin Ahmed representing PCB, KCCA president Prof. Ejaz Faruqi, SSP East Pir Mohammad Shah, Senior Manager NSK Arshad Khan and other officials were present on the occasion.

Shoaib said the holding of the event was a great honuor for the city and appealed to the stakeholders to make it a great success.

“All the agencies of the city will be coordinating in the successful conduct of the championship,” he said. “Security gates will be installed at the main enternce of the stadium.”
