PESHAWAR, Aug 30: A committee has been constituted on the directives of NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani to look into problems faced by journalists and workers of the newspaper industry besides ascertaining the point of view of newspaper owners in this connection.

The committee, headed by NWFP Minister for Information and Public Relations Asif Iqbal Daudzai, would comprise secretary information Shafiquz Zaman, director information Syed Mehdi Hussain and JUI-F leader Abdul Jalil Jan.

The committee, formed after the meeting of the delegation of the Khyber Union of Journalists with the chief minister, would hold meetings with representatives of the Khyber Union of Journalists and owners of the newspapers besides reviewing the situation for the solution of the problems of the newspaper workers.
