KARACHI: Journalist robbed

KARACHI, Aug 30: A journalist was robbed of cash and a mobile phone set at gunpoint in Paposh Nagar on Saturday.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, resident editor of the Daily Times, went to have his routine medical checkup at a clinic in Paposh Nagar. As he came out of the clinic, two men on a motorcycle intercepted him and robbed him of about Rs2,000 and the mobile phone set at gunpoint. The police and the Citizen-Police Liaison Committee were informed of the incident.

BODY FOUND: The bullet-riddled body of an unidentified man was found alongside Super Highway near Sohrab Goth on Saturday.

Gulzar-i-Hijri police said the body carried multiple bullet marks and was dumped in bushes.
